I started riding at age 14 on a used Honda 90―stolen within days! Replaced it with a Suzuki 120 with dual range transmission. Trail rode with friends on neighborhood property in Randallstown area. Also rode power lines and Soldiers Delight (Baltimore Ramblers property). Began racing flat track on an OSSA Stiletto 250; then moved to a Bultaco Pursang 200.
First road bike was a TC305 Suzuki with upswept pipes, moving on to BMWs later on.
Once again, my friends “sucked” me into collecting―first an Astro, then a Pursang, then a Sherpa “T”. I enjoy the flat trackers most of all! Very clean and simple, no front brake or fender. I have three OSSAs ― an ST-1, DMR and Stiletto TT. We are working on a Yamaha 250, champion-framed; a Penton 250, Kenny Roberts-framed; and a BSA 650, similar to the bike Dick Mann rode in the Grand National Series.
I now ride some vintage trials, dual sports and adventure rides.
